Rider House B&B
Rider House B&B This turn of the century victorian home has 14 rooms which includes seven bedrooms. The whole second floor with a private entrance has been set aside for the guests which allows our Bed and Breakfast to be unique. It offers the guests the freedom to choose to be totally pampered, or enjoy the private home type atmosphere by taking advantage of the sink area, with coffee maker, and two small refrigerators in the common room and TV area. In addition there is a gas grill and picnic area with swings on the large lawn which is great for family gatherings or just a quiet stroll. Our B&B is a great place for families coming to the dreams park who would enjoy being served a great breakfast taking advantage of getting to the park early, but still would love the flexibility to be able to make sandwiches, grill dinner and have an area to enjoy with the family when they get a break at the park. The Bed and Breakfast is 1 1/2 miles from our cottages and Canadarago Lake, and we offer the guests staying at the B&B the same lake privileges. There is an additional two acres of land with a park like setting next to cottage II. This provides space for parking, and area where guests staying at the B&B can bring some family or friends to also enjoy the lake and have a picnic. We have one of the nicest spots on the lake for swimming even for small children. There are several floats, water trampoline, and a paddle boat. There is also Cottage 1 on the same property and the Cottage 2 which is 1.5 miles away from both Cottages for additional team family accommodations. The cottage and apartment are year round facilities. Linen, kitchen utensils, dishes and washer & dryer are provided. Cottage I is consider on the lake approximately 30’ from the water, and the apartment (Cottage II) is approximately 100 feet from the lake. The lake can be viewed from both cottage decks. We are off the main highway, which provides a very relaxing and safe atmosphere for children. The adjoining 2 acres also offers a quiet place for children to play safely. There is a large dock and our spot on the lake is nice for swimming for both young and older children. PARENTS MUST ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR WATCHING THEIR CHILDREN.
Danube Suite (2 Rms) - $850 + 12% tax Large room has a queen bed, also a single sleeper sofa, the adjoining room has a full bed. The shower and toilet is between rooms and each room has its own vanity (sink). There is large closet and a small refrigerator.
Rose & Floral rooms $750 + 12% tax Full beds & share large bath This used to be the servant quarters
and these rooms are set off from the main hallway by themselves. The
large bath for these rooms is in the hallway next to the Floral Room.
Savannah Room $650 + 12% tax Queen Bed, private bath, two high back chairs
Please note, If one team takes all three rooms, there is also a futon sofa in the common room that opens into a full bed.
Located... 10 miles to Diamond Dreams Park 12 miles to Cooperstown Dreams Park 9.5 miles to the Village of Cooperstown Pet friendly - pets must be well behaved and created. No smoking and No Team Parties. We allow our visitors to bring other guests back to enjoy the large lawn and picnic area. We also allow our visitors to bring other guests to enjoy the lake facilities. If you have a boat and would like to bring it, you can dock it at the lake where our home and cottages are located. You can store your boat trailer at the B&B or at the lake. The boat launch is directly across the lake from our cottages.
